One way would be to make dynamic attiributed blocks from autocad directly importable (with date, name, and visibility states for checkmarks, etc). This should be much simpler, and stamp creation should not involve dwf publication with block info, etc so non-cad people can easily create their own stamps.

Then, if stamp is repositioned, you have to hope you remember to reposition the signature and date text bits as well. For example, a simple approval stamp with "Approved," "Approved as Noted" and "Resubmit" checkboxes now requires at least (3) separate custom stamps (one for each checkbox marked) and if there is a date and name to be filled in one must manually place pieces of text and drag it into place.

If I need to get outside, non cad folks to use ADR as a markup tool, it is almost impossible to explain to them how to create or send them custom stamps. The whole process of creating custom stampls in ADR is in my opinion way too cumbersome. If it's blank, it will failsafe back to the Login Name.We really need to be able to make custom stamps that will atuomatically fill in dates, times, and user names similar to PDF stamps that read system date/ time/user info and fill in. The stamp will try to use this name first. Name – Whatever you want to put, name or initials. The stamp will use this if the Name (below) is blank. Login Name – This is your Windows login name. There are two values here that matter for stamps: Go to the PDF editor's Edit menu > Preferences. You need to set your name preferences in FileCenter, NOT Acrobat. The link below contains an example of a dynamic stamp, but you can also search the web for more examples or create your own.Ī couple of things to know about the information that these dynamic stamps will display: They'll still end up in the stamps pallette, and they'll retain all of their dynamic information. To import dynamic stamps, you have to put them in the Custom Stamps folder. If you do, the stamps will lose their dynamic information.

IMPORTANT: You cannot import custom stamps from the stamps pallette like you would other stamps. The easiest way to open this folder is from the FileCenter Settings button > Miscellaneous and click Open Custom Stamps Folder. In order to use dynamic stamps with FileCenter, you must place your dynamic stamp file into our default stamp folder. A dynamic stamp is just a stamp contained in a PDF file.
